It pays to be top banana in the shock department

I love senior year.
Love that I've gotten to the point where when my friends steal my top from me and say its landed in the delta.
I'm just like fuuuuck.
Whatever.
<3

Okay, so remember how we were all like totally freaking out about college awhile ago and thought we would never get in where we wanted to?
And now everyone is getting in exactly where they should be.
Everything is working out.

Lana was appointed "Most Likely To Spend Tuition Money Shopping.." in the group Northwestern Class of 2011. 2:04am

I went to the doctor the other day, he asked me where I am going to school next year.  I told him Northwestern,
and he was like
"Wow, that's a really good school! You know, most people probably
don't think you're smart. I mean, because you're pretty."
Gee thanks, Doctor Lewis.

On another note, it's almost second semester, I don't care about school anymore, Ugly Betty and Grey's is on tonight.  I love my friends, and I can't wait for college and summer.

So basically, I'm surfing the interweb.
Enter Mom:
"So how's the research paper coming."
Me:
"I'm missing grey's and ugly betty."
Mom:
"Maybe you should have done it over the weekend."
Me:
"Mom, when I'm lying on my deathbed,
I'm going to care that I hung out with my friends on the weekend.
I'm not going to care about this research paper.
Oh wait, I don't care now."

Ah the joys of senioritis.

Since I'm basically just procrastinating:
So yeah, I write for the Orinda News.
I wrote a column about Respect (with a capital R)
and my editor flipped, because I was basically ragging on everyone in an authority position.
It was fun.
Until I experienced my first encounter with CENSORSHIP and was coerced into change the article.
However, being the free speech activist that I am.  I protested!
YOU CANT CENSOR ME.
So now my editor tells me to be careful for cops because they might come after me.

I've lived this year in winter.
This kind of weather reminds me of
holding hands and gloves.
Listening to the Scene Aesthetic.
I wish I could tell you all that I was feeling right now, but I can't.
Or maybe I don't want to.
It's like sometimes I'm thinking a million things, feeling a million things and I think that my heart might explode.
But I keep it all inside and savor this feeling.
I think they call it being alive.
I can't wait for chicago.

Thanks for everyone that complimented my new column.
The next one will be in the Dec/Jan edition of

You know, thats probably when I'm having the most fun anyways.
Not worrying about college.
Not staring at my computer screen that says:

Personality Paper
"I have no personality."
